Today EcoViva staffers Dionicia Lara and Yael Falicov met with staff at the office of Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-CA) office at the Federal Building in Oakland to discuss the proposed $280 million package of infrastructure projects proposed by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a US government agency, for coastal El Salvador.
We also asked the Congresswoman to ensure that the Comprehensive Immigration Reform legislation currently under discussion in the US Congress include a pathway to citizenship for Central Americans and Haitians with Temporary Protected Status (TPS).
