EcoViva has been working for years with our partner communities in the Bajo Lempa region of El Salvador to protect the largest remaining mangrove forest in Central America from a number of threats including proposed tourist resorts, the expansion of the use of explosives in fishing, and deforestation. A news agency in El Salvador created this fantastic video paying special attention to this issue. EcoViva’s Executive Director, Yael Falicov, is featured in the video.
